Let me introduce you to two of the most talented, extraordinary students I have taught in my career.  I had the pleasure of teaching Lauren (the elder), for 3 years.  She was the lead in our musicals, received multiple solos in countless concerts and received an award as the “Best Soloist” at last years International music festival in Seattle.  Bryn, the (the younger) is a rising star in our music program.  She too has had several lead roles in musicals and multiple solos.  While Bryn’s talent is broad and varied she is most talented in the art of dance.

While these two girls would be extraordinary in any light, they are especially so due to the fact that they lost their father in a tragic accident on December 28th, 2010.  This family of six were travelling in their van down the road from where I teach, when an oncoming car crossed the line and collided with the Bergs.

While grieving the loss of their father and husband, all members of the Berg family have spent the last 4 years battling injuries related to this tragic event.

Back to Bryn…

I met Bryn while she was still in a wheelchair and unable to walk.  I watched and marveled as she battled with countless surgeries and setbacks.  Last year she was able to walk without a brace.  (Now she is DANCING!)
